Open to stallions, mares and geldings 4 years and over. Cobs are required to jump a course of rustic fences max height 2’6”. Judge may ride.
Note:

Protective
boots or bandages may be worn for the
jumping phase but must be removed for the showing phase.
No other
change of tack or clothing is allowed. Martingales
may be worn. Body protectors will be permitted during the jumping phase.
A fall of
horse or rider will result in elimination
on medical grounds. Class to be judged 60% jumping
and 40%
conformation, ride and manners.

Classes 1 – 5, 6, 8-14, 16 - 19 are all Chiltern & Thames Qualifiers but all are welcome to join in.
Rosettes 1st - 6th in each class, all classes held on grass areans.

Pre Entry to reach us by the Thursday before the show. Classes will be limited if we recieve large number of entries.
To
qualify you must provide your Chiltern &
Thames Membership number prior to the competition.
Please
note, dressage whips are not permitted and children are not allowed to
wear spurs.
The
tack and turnout of the horse/pony should be appropriate to the type of
horse/pony
being
presented. The
rider should dress appropriately for the type of horse/pony being
presented.
Dress code as
per affiliated showing classes does not have to be strictly
adhered
to - the overall impression is of most importance.
Horse
and Ponies who have qualified for or competed at HOYS (except SEIB
Search for a
Star),
Royal International Horse Show or Olympia in the years 2007, 2008, or
2009 are not
eligible for
the C&T
Rider Championships. This includes non-qualifier classes at RIHS also.
Thoroughbreds
who qualify for the the ROR finals at Hickstead also cannot qualify for our
championships,
again in
the years
2007, 2008, 2009. This Championship is aimed at keen and competitive amateurs,not
professionals.
