        RING ONE – First class to start at approximately 10.00am

 

            CLASS 1         PRE-INTRO DERBY – FENCES AT 1’6” – 2’0”

                                    For horse/rider combination who have never been placed 1st -3rd in a show  jumping competition.

 

            CLASS 2         INTRO DERBY – FENCES AT 2’0” – 2’3”

                                    For horse/rider combination who have never been placed 1st – 3rd in a  show jumping competition.

 

 

CLEAR ROUND AVAILABLE AT END OF CLASS 2 – Fences start at 2’0”.  Entries to Show Secretary on the day.   Entry fee: £3 per round or two rounds for £5.  A clear round rosette will be awarded for all clear rounds.

 

 

            RING TWO – First class to start at approximately 10.30am

 

            CLASS 3         NOVICE DERBY – FENCES AT 2’3” – 2’6”

                                    Combination of horse and rider not to have won £50.00 in prize money.

 

            CLASS 4         INTERMEDIATE DERBY – FENCES AT 2’6” – 2’9”

                                    Open to all combinations.

 

            CLASS 5         OPEN DERBY – FENCES AT 2’9” – 3’0”

                                    Open to all combinations.     

 

Entry fee: £8.00 per class in advance; £10.00 per class on the day.

 

Fences will contain coloured jumps, rustic jumps; cross-country type fences, natural obstacles and a small ditch (depending on conditions).  Competitors are strongly advised to pre-enter as class sizes are limited. Riders are strongly advised to wear body protectors as courses may contain some solid XC style fences.

RULES & CONDITIONS OF ENTRY

 

(Deemed as read and accepted once entry form has been signed and submitted to Show Secretary)

 

1. It is a condition of entry that Cullinghood, the organisers, the landowner, or any site staff/official do not accept liability for accident, loss, damage, injury or illness or for anything that may happen to horses, owners, riders, spectators or any other person or their property whatsoever, however caused.  It shall be a condition of entry that any such entrant agrees to indemnify the promoters/organisers against any claim for loss, injury, damage or legal action.  All persons attending the show do so at their own risk.

 

2. The Judges’, Stewards’ and the Organisers’ decision is FINAL in all cases.  No objection or dispute regarding the decision can be made.  The organisers reserve the right to refuse entry without stating the reason.

 

3. Horse/ponies in ridden classes MUST be 4 years old or over.

 

4. PLEASE NOTE THAT DOGS ARE NOT PERMITTED UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES.

 

5. Any competitor considered to be contravening the Show/Event rules, mistreating an animal or riding in a manner that is considered to be or may cause danger to others will be asked to leave the showground immediately.

 

6. No galloping/cantering around the showground or lorry park.  Please warm up in the designated area.

 

7. The organisers reserve the right to cancel or postpone any event, and reserve the right to amalgamate or split classes according to final entries.

 

8. Entries will only be refunded on receipt of a vets or doctors certificate, minus £2.00, no later than 4 days after the event.

 

9.Please be aware that, under the Horse Passports (England) Regulations 2004, it is illegal for an equine to be transported, for whatever reason, to any destination without its appropriate passport.  We have been informed that Trading Standards officers may check at competitions to spot check that every horse on the site has its appropriate passport.  Please, therefore, bring your passport with you when competing at one of our events as failure to do so may result in your entry being refused without any refund of pre-paid entries.

 

 

HEALTH & SAFETY

 

1. Access to and from the showground MUST NOT BE OBSTRUCTED, so as to allow the emergency services free access.  First Aid is available during the show and this facility is clearly distinguishable.  In case of emergency, there is a telephone in the Secretary’s Tent/Office.  In the event of an emergency the nearest official should be contacted or dial 999 on the nearest telephone.

 

2. Horses are easily frightened and can be dangerous.  All persons are asked to remember this and do nothing that might alarm the horses in particular, no sudden movements.  Please ensure that you keep to the relevant marked areas, i.e. horses only pedestrians only etc.

 

3. All persons mounted on a horse MUST wear a hard hat (that conforms to either EN1384 or PAS 015 standard), also acceptable are hats that conform to American standard prefixed with SEI or ASTM.  Such headgear must be properly secured and correct riding attire must be worn.  Body protectors and gloves are strongly advised.

 

4. Children must be kept under close supervision at ALL times.

 

5. PLEASE DO NOT MUCK OUT your trailer/horsebox onto our field.  Take your rubbish home with you or use the bins provided.

 

6. NO SMOKING ON THE STABLE YARD – riders and spectators must stay in the showground area.
