Come and see our fabulous cross-country course, which includes a variety
of original hunting style and solid fences throughout fields, tracks, woodland
and stunning open country.
9.30am Class 1: Pairs – Fences 2’3” – 2’9”. Open
to any senior or junior rider on horses or ponies. This class is a qualifier for the
Finals of the SEIB BHS Cross Country Championships 2009. Competent riders only.
Entry Fee: £26
per pair plus £5 each rider for first aid* (£36 total)

- Fences 2'3” to 2’9”. Open
to any senior or junior rider on horses or ponies. This class is a qualifier for the
Finals of the SEIB BHS Cross Country Championships 2009. Competent riders only.

per entry plus £5 first aid* (£20 total)

3.00pm Class 3: Open
- Fences 2'3” to 3’3”. Open to
any senior or junior rider on horses or ponies.
This class is a qualifier for the Finals of the SEIB BHS Cross
Country Championships 2009. Competent riders only.
Entry Fee: £15
per entry plus £5 first aid* (£20 total)
*Competitors
wishing to enter more than one class are only required to pay £5.00 first aid
provision once.

Important Notes:
· Limited availability per class. All entries to be
received by Friday 26th September
2008. Times available on Saturday 27th September 2008 from 4pm
to 6pm on (0118) 974 5228. Late entries will be accepted at the Centre’s discretion, subject to availability.
· All riders are strongly advised to walk the
course prior to jumping. It may be
walked on Saturday 27th September 2008 from 4.00pm or before
9.00am on event day. Competitors must finish walking the course by 9.00am
on event day.
· Hard hats and body protectors are compulsory
and arms must be covered. Competitors
ride at their own risk and no responsibility will be taken by the organisers
for either horse or rider.
· Strictly
no spectators on the course for safety reasons.
· Rosettes to 6th place subject to sufficient
entries.
· £5 refundable
deposit required for numbered bib (payable on the day)
· Competitors are asked to keep to their time. Those competitors who miss their times may
forfeit their time for a later one, or be eliminated altogether.
· Placings will be
judged on a clear round basis and the fastest time through a timed section of
the course. A time limit will be set for the completion of the course. Three refusals at any one fence will
eliminate the horse and rider though riders may continue to complete the course
at the discretion of the course officials.
Competitors riding as a pair must
do so by one horse following the other, NOT to jump abreast. No dressing fences.
· Competitors must jump fences in numerical order,
keeping all red flags on their right; white flags on their left.
· First Aiders, paramedic, caterers and Equestrian Photographic
in attendance.

but will not be eligible to qualify. Horses
registered for British Eventing Horse Trials in 2009 are NOT eligible to
qualify for the Finals ('Day Tickets' are acceptable). Rules at qualifiers may differ from those
at the Finals. Classes at the Finals
will be Novice and Pairs (both max 2’ 9”), and Open (max 3’ 3”). Date (Autumn 2009) and venue for the Finals
are to be confirmed.

Late entries
will be accepted on the day if there are sufficient places left in the class. Late entries may be subject to an additional
£2.00 late entry fee.

1. It is a condition of entry
that Cullinghood, the organisers,
the landowner, or any site staff/official do not accept liability for accident,
loss, damage, injury or illness or for anything that may happen to horses,
owners, riders, spectators or any other person or their property whatsoever,
however caused. It shall be a condition of
entry that any such entrant agrees to indemnify the promoters/organisers against any claim for loss, injury, damage or
legal action. All persons attending the
show do so at their own risk.
2. The Judges’, Stewards’ and
the Organisers’ decision is FINAL in all cases. No objection or dispute regarding the
decision can be made. The organisers reserve the right to refuse entry without
stating the reason.
3. Horse/ponies in ridden
classes MUST be 4 years old or over.
4. PLEASE NOTE THAT DOGS ARE
NOT PERMITTED UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES.
5. Any competitor considered to
be contravening the Show/Event rules, mistreating an animal or riding in a
manner that is considered to be or may cause danger to others will be asked to
leave the showground immediately.
6. No galloping/cantering
around the showground or lorry park.
Please warm up in the designated area.
7. The organisers
reserve the right to cancel or postpone any event, and reserve the right to
amalgamate or split classes according to final entries.
8. Entries will only be
refunded on receipt of a vets or doctors certificate, minus £2.00, no later
than 4 days after the event.
9.Please be
aware that, under the Horse Passports (
1. Access to and from the
showground MUST NOT BE OBSTRUCTED, so as to allow the emergency services free
access. First Aid is available during
the show and this facility is clearly distinguishable. In case of emergency, there is a telephone in
the Secretary’s Tent/Office. In the
event of an emergency the nearest official should be contacted or dial 999 on
the nearest telephone.
2. Horses are easily frightened
and can be dangerous. All persons are
asked to remember this and do nothing that might alarm the horses in
particular, no sudden movements. Please
ensure that you keep to the relevant marked areas, i.e. horses only pedestrians
only etc.
3. All persons mounted on a
horse MUST wear a hard hat (that conforms to either EN1384 or PAS 015 standard), also acceptable are hats that conform to American standard
prefixed with SEI or ASTM. Such headgear
must be properly secured and correct riding attire must be worn. Body protectors and gloves are strongly
advised.
4. Children must be kept under
close supervision at ALL times.
5. PLEASE DO NOT MUCK OUT your
trailer/horsebox onto our field. Take
your rubbish home with you or use the bins provided.
6. NO SMOKING ON THE STABLE
YARD – riders and spectators must stay in the showground area.
